Job summary

Framestore is seeking a Compositing Supervisor to lead and mentor the compositing team across a diverse slate of film, advertising and episodic projects. The role combines hands-on compositing with strong leadership, ensuring high-quality results and close collaboration with VFX, production and DI teams.

Ideal candidates will have 8+ years in compositing, expert Nuke skills, and proven ability to manage artists and deliver under pressure.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in compositing across film, advertising and episodic.
• Expert user of Nuke and other compositing software.
• Proven leadership and artist management experience.
• On-set VFX supervision experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of compositors on a broad range of projects.
• Brief/mentor junior/mid/senior talent and cast shots appropriately.
• Take responsibility for the quality of the work of the team as a whole.
• Hands on compositing shots to a finished standard.
• Collaborate with VFX, DI and production teams to bid and schedule work.
• Attend client reviews and lead daily reviews with the team.
• On set VFX supervision for 2D based projects.
• Balance creative and technical aspects of each shot/sequence.
• Solve difficult technical and artistic compositing challenges.
