Job summary
HP4 Recruitment Ltd is seeking skilled Vehicle Technicians to join a leading vehicle hire and fleet management business in Exeter. The role focuses on maintenance, servicing and repair of light commercial vehicles to ensure fleet reliability and safety.
Ideal candidates will have Level 3 NVQ / City & Guilds in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, strong diagnostic skills, and a full UK driving licence. Excellent career progression within a large national business is on offer.
Qualifications
- Level 3 NVQ / City & Guilds in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (preferred).
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician / LCV Technician.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Experience working on vans or commercial vehicles (highly desirable).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a range of vans and light commercial vehicles.
- Diagnose faults using the latest diagnostic equipment.
- Complete MOT preparation and general inspections.
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard in line with manufacturer guidelines.
- Accurately complete job cards, service records, and compliance paperwork.
- Work efficiently to meet productivity and workshop targets.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
