Overview

The University of Liverpool, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, School of Histories, Languages and Cultures is seeking a permanent part‑time (0.5 FTE/17.5 hrs per week) Liverpool Confucius Institute Administrator/PA to the Institute’s Deputy Directors (Grade 5).

Salary: £29,588 - £33,951 per annum (pro rata).

Responsibilities
  • Provide general administrative support to the Liverpool Confucius Institute.
  • Offer a range of support services to the Deputy Directors (Liverpool and Chinese) of the LCI.
  • Act as the recognised point of contact within the LCI for administrative activities.
  • Offer advice and guidance on University policies and procedures to staff, students and external organisations as required.
Qualifications
  • Hold at least 3 GCSEs at Grade C or above (or equivalent), including English and Maths.
  • Have relevant work experience in a higher education environment (or similar large, complex organisation).
  • Experience of providing administrative and PA support.
  • Experience with H&S administration, including completion of risk assessments.
  • Experience of working with and interpreting data, accurate record keeping, use of financial systems, and event planning and marketing.
