Job summary

Study Group, in partnership with the University of Leeds and Leeds Beckett University, seeks a Tutor at the Leeds International Study Centre. The role focuses on academic management, module coordination and the delivery of high-quality teaching across designated modules.

You will design and deliver modules, develop assessment, update the VLE and support students throughout their learning journey, including induction and progression planning. Experience with international students is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject area.
• Masters qualification desirable.
• PhD welcomed.
• Experience teaching in UK higher or further education and preferably a teaching qualification and experience of working with international students.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic coordination for designated module(s) in the role of module coordinator.
• Contribute to the design, delivery and development of modules offered by the centre.
• Contribute to the delivery and assessment of provision.
• Prepare module examinations and other forms of formative and summative assessment, mark and provide feedback to students.
• Update and maintain the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE).
• Work with the Student Experience Team and Registry and Operations Team in the delivery of induction, orientation and registration programmes.
• Liaise with the Progression, Welfare and Support team to support students in achieving their progression aim.
• Engage in scholarly activity to ensure the delivery of modules is current.
• Any other duties as required from time to time by the Head of Law and Social Science and Centre Director
