Job summary

Raffles London at The OWO is seeking a dedicated Uniform & Linen Attendant to maintain and repair colleague uniforms and hotel linen to the highest standards. You will coordinate with the Laundry team, track stock, and ensure a pristine, professional service environment.

The role requires a meticulous, team-oriented individual with a passion for luxury hospitality. Experience in a luxury hotel is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair all colleague uniforms and hotel linen to the highest standards.
• Assist with distribution and tracking of staff uniforms and linen with the Laundry team.
• Inspect garments and report any damage or soiling beyond repair.
• Keep the uniform area clean, organized, and well stocked.
• Follow Lost Property procedures and act as a brand ambassador for Raffles.
• Support with additional duties and possibly work in other departments when needed.

Job Description

Scope Of Position

To maintain and repair all colleague uniforms, and hotel linen to the highest standards when needed and provide a distinctive, high standard of workmanship when assisting with guest alteration works. To assist with distribution and tracking of staff uniform and hotel linen in a warm and timely manner and work closely with the laundry team to ensure the smooth running of the operation and to avoid any discrepancies. To act as an ambassador of the Raffles during your interaction with guests and colleagues.

Responsibilities

Operation

• To communicate any issues or concerns regarding uniform with Laundry supervisor.
• To inspect and repair staff uniform when necessary. Should any garment be soiled or damaged beyond redemption, inform the Laundry supervisor.
• To ensure all equipment is well maintained and in proper working order. Report any malfunctioning or defects immediately.
• To keep the uniform area clean and tidy.
• To act as a team player & provide effective day to day communication with colleagues and guests.
• To maintain the stock levels of seamstress utilities.
• To monitor the quality of returned guest garments; uniform and chef wear from outside contractor.
• To follow the Lost Property procedure.
• Additional responsibilities in absence of line manager or senior employee.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned including working in a different department or restaurant, than usually assigned.

Health and Safety

• Ensure that all potential and real hazards are reported immediately and rectified.
• Be fully conversant with all departmental Fire, Emergency and Bomb procedures.
• Ensure the safety of the persons and the property of all within the premises, by strict adherence to existing laws, statues and applicable ordinances, and by anticipating possible and probable hazards and conditions and either correcting them or pre-planning a defence against them.
• Stimulate and encourage a general awareness of Health and Safety in relation to all tasks and activities undertaken in the department.

Qualifications

• Able to provide exceptional cleaning and service for the guests with extremely attention to details.
• Enthusiasm and commitment to delivering and offering the best service and experiences possible in any situation.
• Able to work within a team.
• Professional and well-groomed
• A proven track record and ability to provide high levels of service under pressure.
• Exceptional communication and customer service skills, both written and spoken.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to multi-task while maintaining an immaculate and professional appearance.
• An understanding and willingness to contribute to a 24h operational schedule when required.
• Previous experience within a luxury hotel environment working with LQA, Forbes 5* or equivalent standards.
