Job summary

phs Besafe in Nottingham is seeking a Laundry Operative to join the depot on a full-time permanent basis. Monday to Thursday 06.30am–3.15pm and Friday 06.45am–2.15pm, with a 40-hour week. You will perform quality checks, load machines, and handle goods in/out to ensure top-quality service.

Salary is £12.91 per hour (£26,852 per year) with a bonus making OTE £28,152. In return you will receive 23 days holiday plus bank holidays (31 days total), holiday buy/sell after 6 months, career progression

Qualifications

• Experience in a commercial laundry or picking and packing environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Basic computer literacy to manage simple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist loading/unloading garments and perform quality checks.
• Operate laundry machines and run through standard procedures for best results.
• Transfer cleaned loads to dryers and inspect garments for repairs or replacements.
• Use provided tools and equipment to maintain high service standards.
• Support day-to-day laundry operations to ensure smooth workflow.

• You will help off load our customers garments and complete quality checks.
• You will be loading our laundry machines and running through all operations to ensure the highest quality clean.
• Once cleaned you will be transferring the load to the dryers before carrying out inspections and identifying if garments need repairs or replacing.
• You are supplied with all the tools and equipment you’ll need to provide the best quality service to our customers.
• You will be vital in the day to day running of the laundry.
