Job summary

Barchester Healthcare is seeking a Laundry Assistant in one of our care homes to ensure residents have clean clothing and bedding, contributing to a comfortable, homely atmosphere.

You will sort, wash, dry and iron laundry, maintain a tidy workspace, and support the home’s appearance and resident wellbeing. Training is provided, and a friendly team environment promotes learning, progression and pride in every detail.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Laundry Assistant at a Barchester care home, you’ll help to make sure our residents receive quality care and support in the best possible surroundings. By making sure each resident has clean clothing and bedding, you’ll be playing your own part in helping everyone to feel comfortable and at home. The role of Laundry Assistant involves sorting, washing, drying, ironing and contributing to the overall look and feel of the home. It’s a great way to get a sense of what it takes to keep everything running smoothly in our homes and it could open up other opportunities as you develop.
