Are you looking for a new opportunity within a Care Setting? We are actively recruiting exceptional, caring individuals who want to join our team at Copperfield Court, Broadstairs, Kent!

As a Laundry Assistant you will provide a high-quality laundry service, adhering to the correct fabric care guidelines and following residents' individual care plans where there may be special requirements.

Responsibilities
  • To respect and maintain confidentiality of resident's personal information at all times, including their right to privacy, dignity and choice.
  • To understand and comply with all statutory and legal requirements that are relevant such as Health & Safety, COSHH, and all aspects of the Health & Social Care Act, to ensure a safe and efficient laundry service in the home. Understand and have an awareness of Infection Control.
  • To check that all residents' personal clothing and items are individually labelled, maintained in good repair and returned to the correct resident in a timely manner after each laundry session.
  • To ensure all equipment used is in full, safe working order, promptly reporting any faults to both the Maintenance Person and the General Manager.
  • To always be alert and use your own initiative, spot clean any spillages as they occur.
  • To be an active and helpful member of the team, contribute to meeting, attend training sessions and ensure that the care home is a friendly and supportive working environment.

Hours of work: (08:00-17:00) and you will be expected to work on a permanent rolling rota of three consecutive shifts on, followed by three consecutive shifts off, which equates to an average of 31.50 hours per week in total.

Hourly Rate of Pay: £13.00
