Job summary

Exclusive Household Staff in Mayfair, London seeks an experienced Laundress to manage linen, garments and fabrics for a private UHNW client. The role is live-out, five days per week, with shift-based hours and flexibility.

You will ensure fabric care instructions are followed, maintain impeccable garment presentation, and coordinate with the House Manager on supplies and any specialist cleaning needs. Strong discretion, reliability and attention to detail are essential to uphold the household's

Responsibilities

• Wash, clean, and maintain household linens and garments.

• Track inventory and ensure stock of laundry supplies.
• Ensure timely completion of all laundry tasks.

Overview
Our UHNW client is seeking an experienced Laundress to take responsibility for the care, cleaning, and presentation of all household linens, garments, and fabrics within a private residence.

This is a hands-on role requiring excellent attention to detail, strong organisation, and pride in maintaining the highest standards of garment and laundry care at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Wash, dry, press, fold, and organise all household linens and garments
• Ensure all items are treated according to fabric care instructions
• Inspect items for stains, damage, or special care requirements
• Carry out stain removal and specialist fabric treatments where appropriate
• Maintain exceptional presentation of all finished laundry
• Manage laundry room cleanliness, organisation, and hygiene at all times
• Monitor and maintain laundry supplies and report stock requirements
• Coordinate external specialist cleaning services when required
• Report any damaged items or maintenance issues promptly
• Support accurate tracking and return of all household items
• Ensure all laundry is completed efficiently and to household standards

Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar laundress or laundry role within a private household
• Strong understanding of fabric care, washing techniques, and garment handling
