This role is for temporary employment of 24 months and is based at the launch site on the isle of Unst in the Shetland Islands.

We are looking for a part-time Incoming Goods, Stores and Inventory Person to join our UK team. As Stores Person you will focus on managing the receipt and initial processing of all goods arriving on site here at RFA Launch Pad. This typically involves unloading deliveries, inspecting items for damage, verifying quantities and descriptions against purchase orders, signing delivery notes and storing goods in designated locations. You will process paperwork to relevant logistics and invoicing departments, before uploading all onto our Purchase Request Tool, against the individual PR, before filing hard copies in Purchase Order files. It is a crucial role in maintaining accurate audit trails, inventory and ensuring a smooth flow of materials to our on-site technicians and engineers.

Your Tasks
  • Receive and support unloading - Accepting deliveries from suppliers, physically unloading items from trucks or other transport, and ensuring they are safely handled.
  • Inspection of received goods - Checking for damage and discrepancies in quantities.
  • Verification of received goods - Matching received items against purchase orders, delivery notes, or other documentation to confirm accuracy.
  • Storage management:
  • Storage management: moving goods to designated storage areas
  • Storage management: organise, manage and maintain general storage containers
  • Storage management: working with onsite and remote working technicians and engineers, identify and organise task specific materials or parts
  • Storage management: monitor site stock levels, raising purchase requests in line with stock requirement minimum order levels
  • Travel to local suppliers and those in Lerwick to collect or deliver parts when required
