Job summary

Workforce Group is recruiting two experienced Laser Setter Operators to join their precision engineering and manufacturing production team in Nottingham. You will set, operate and monitor CNC laser cutting machinery to produce quality components from engineering drawings, ensuring dimensional accuracy and adherence to safety standards.

The role offers 40 hours per week on rotating shifts with overtime opportunities, and a competitive hourly rate plus a monthly shift allowance.

Qualifications

• Experience operating laser cutting machinery.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
• Reliable and flexible approach to work with health and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Set, operate and monitor CNC laser cutting machinery.
• Complete machine set-ups, adjustments and tooling changes.
• Load and unload sheet metal and other materials safely.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Carry out quality checks using verniers, micrometers, gauges and other measuring equipment.
• Make adjustments to maintain quality and dimensional accuracy.
• Identify and report machine, quality or production issues.
• Complete production paperwork and records accurately.
• Carry out routine machine checks and basic preventative maintenance.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Follow Health & Safety procedures and safe systems of work.
• Work with the production team to meet deadlines.
