Job summary

A healthcare provider in Watford seeks a LARC nurse to join their team for 4 hours per week with flexible hours. The candidate must have a current UK professional registration and a Diploma of the Fault of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (DFSRH), and possess experience in fitting IUDs and implants. Responsibilities include delivering LARC services, providing patient advice, and maintaining clinical data. Candidates should demonstrate excellent customer service, teamwork, and the ability to work under pressure.

Qualifications

  • Current UK professional registration.
  • Subscription to relevant professional bodies.
  • A valid letter of competence in intrauterine techniques and in subdermal implants.
  • Complete a minimum of 2 hours CPD per year.
  • Recent experience of fitting minimum of 12 IUD/S a year.
  • Knowledge of primary health care.
  • Good interpersonal and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver LARC services in line with national and local guidance.
  • Ensure clinically appropriate contraceptive procedures are conducted safely.
  • Provide a professional client-facing service.
  • Input clinical data onto the clinical system.
