Job summary

Wards Gardens is an award-winning landscaping company delivering high-quality residential outdoor spaces across Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire. You will train on-site under experienced landscapers, learning the trade and gaining hands-on experience on live projects.

This 24-month Landscape Construction Apprenticeship offers practical work, formal learning and a pathway to a permanent role, with a strong emphasis on safety, teamwork and customer service.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
• Reliable and punctual approach to work.
• Ability to work well within a team.
• Interest in landscaping, construction or horticulture.
• Ability to travel reliably to our yard near Ledbury each day.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with site preparation and groundworks
• Learning how to install patios, paving, pathways and steps
• Supporting the construction of fencing, decking and garden features
• Assisting with planting, turfing and soft landscaping works
• Safely using landscaping tools and equipment
• Helping to maintain a tidy, organised and safe worksite
• Learning to interpret plans and drawings
• Travelling with the team to project sites
• Following health and safety procedures at all times
• Developing teamwork, communication and customer service skills
