Qualifications

  • Degree in Landscape Architecture or a similar field is required.
  • Up to 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience with LVIA is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Writing and contributing to Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA).
  • Carrying out site appraisals and landscape sensitivity studies.
  • Helping shape green infrastructure strategies.

Role – Landscape Architects/Planners
Location – Gloucestershire
Salary – £28 - £32K

Looking to take the next step in your landscape architecture career?
Or client, a friendly, experienced consultancy is on the lookout for Landscape Architects/Planners to join their growing team. These roles would suit people fresh out of university or with up to 3 years’ experience, someone keen to take on more responsibility and start progressing towards a senior role. If you've got a bit of LVIA experience, even better.
The team works on exciting projects that really make a difference. From planning new communities and green spaces to helping protect important landscapes, the work is varied and interesting. It’s a great chance to be part of projects that shape places and help the environment for the future.
Their office is well connected, making it a convenient location whether you’re commuting locally or coming from further afield. It’s just a couple of minutes off Junction 9 of the M5, so if you´re driving in from Cheltenham, Gloucester, Birmingham, or Bristol it´s quick and easy. If you’re using public transport, there is a train station is nearby, with regular services to Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, and even London. There are also plenty of local bus routes serving the area.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
  • You’ll work as part of a collaborative team on a wide mix of landscape planning projects across the UK, responsibilities will include:
  • Writing and contributing to Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA)
  • Carrying out site appraisals and landscape sensitivity studies
  • Helping shape green infrastructure strategies
  • Supporting planning applications and design teams with solid landscape advice
  • You’ll have support from experienced senior colleagues and space to grow, contribute ideas, and make your mark
QUALIFICATIONS AND KEY SKILLS
  • A degree in Landscape Architecture or a similar field
  • Around up to 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Some knowledge or hands-on experience with LVIA
  • Good writing and visual analysis skills
  • Confident working independently and as part of a team
  • Bonus points for skills in GIS, Adobe Creative Suite, or AutoCAD
  • Mostly, they’re after someone curious, enthusiastic, and keen to learn
