Huddersfield | Full-Time, Hybrid Working - Temporary role 9 months

We're recruiting an experienced Landscape Architect on behalf of our client, to lead and support the delivery of high-quality landscape design projects in the Huddersfield area.

You'll manage both routine and major schemes, provide technical expertise, and ensure all work meets professional, legal and environmental standards while identifying sustainable and commercial opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and deliver a portfolio of landscape and public realm projects.
  • Manage project stages from feasibility to completion, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
  • Produce and commission designs, briefs and contracts using AutoCAD or similar software.
  • Ensure compliance with CDM regulations, health & safety and relevant legislation.
  • Embed sustainability and inclusive design across all work.
  • Liaise with clients, partners and stakeholders at meetings and forums.
  • Monitor project performance and prepare progress reports.
  • Support commercial development and contribute to continuous service improvements.
  • Provide guidance to colleagues and deputise for senior team members when needed.
About You
  • Degree/Diploma in Landscape Design (or equivalent) and Member of the Landscape Institute (MLI).
  • Significant post-qualification landscape experience; working towards or holding Chartered status.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and relevant IT applications.
  • Knowledge of CDM, health & safety and environmental legislation.
  • Experience in procurement, contracts and commercial management.
  • Skilled in managing resources and collaborating with partners.
  • Confident communicator at all levels.
