A progressive local council in the United Kingdom is looking for an enthusiastic Landscape Architect to join their Planning Strategy team. We are a council with a good track record of delivering Local Plans with a recently adopted Local Plan and work commencing on the preparation of a new Local Plan in the context of the Government’s recent reforms to Plan-making.
The team includes Ecology, Building Conservation, Landscape, Urban Design and Planning Policy Officers. The professional expertise in the wider service and Council makes it a great place to work and opportunities to develop skills and knowledge.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative Landscape Architect to contribute to the well-rounded and knowledgeable Planning Strategy team. Working within the wider team, you will provide specialist landscape and arboricultural advice and prepare policies relating to all aspects of landscape. You will be a key player in the council’s aim to improve the quality of the built and natural environment across the district.
The team’s specialisms include Ecology, Building Conservation, Landscape, Urban Design and Planning Policy. The professional expertise in the wider service and council makes it a great place to work, with opportunities to broaden and develop skills and knowledge.
This could be an ideal first job if you have just qualified in ecology, conservation biology or environmental management where we would support and develop you as an Ecology Officer with a starting salary of £33,143 and ability to progress once you have gained experience to become a Landscape Architect.
Within this role, you will be part of various groups where you can gain support, share learning, work through scenarios and develop your knowledge with other environmental professionals across Suffolk.
