Job summary

BCL Legal Limited is partnering with a highly regarded national law firm to recruit a Property Solicitor (NQ-4 yrs) to join its specialist team in Chester.

You will assist with and manage property transactions from instruction through to completion, prepare contracts, undertake title investigations, liaise with clients and other parties, and develop your knowledge across residential conveyancing and commercial property under the guidance of an experienced Partner.

Qualifications

• Recently qualified solicitor (NQ-4 yrs) with conveyancing or commercial property experience.
• Strong grasp of the conveyancing process and title investigations.
• Good organisational and client management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with and manage property transactions from instruction through to completion.
• Prepare and review contract documentation and supporting paperwork.
• Undertake title investigations and report on title/transaction information.
• Deal with Land Registry applications and registrations.
• Liaise with clients, solicitors, agents and other third parties to progress transactions.
• Develop knowledge across a broad range of property matters.
• Work closely with an experienced Partner and take increasing responsibility over time.

This is genuinely one of the most exciting property roles we've been instructed on, based out of Chester.

We are working with a highly-regarded national law firm currently looking to appoint an ambitious property solicitor to join its specialist team.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to high-value and complex property transactions, working closely with an experienced Partner and junior members of the team on a significant national rural estate portfolio. The nature of the work is quite confidential and would therefore require some office based working. This exciting opportunity also brings with it significant long term benefits as the partner would like to eventually hand over the reigns to someone who can handle this work and client, the envy of City firms.

The Opportunity is to:

• Assist with and manage property transactions from instruction through to completion
• Prepare and review contract documentation and supporting paperwork
• Undertake title investigations and report on title and transaction information
• Deal with Land Registry applications and registrations
• Liaise with clients, solicitors, agents and other third parties to progress transactions efficiently
• Develop your knowledge across a broad range of property and conveyancing matters
• Work closely with an experienced Partner and benefit from hands-on training and support
• Take increasing responsibility for your own caseload as your experience develops

The ideal candidate will be a recently (NQ-4 yrs) qualified Solicitor with experience in conveyancing or commercial property.

You will ideally have:

• A strong grounding in residential conveyancing and/or commercial property
• Good knowledge of the conveyancing process
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and client management skills
• A proactive and commercially minded approach
• The ability to work effectively as part of a small, specialist team
• Ambition to develop your career within a quality-focused Property practice
