Job description

We are seeking an experienced Land Surveyor / Site Engineer to support a runway reprofiling project involving groundworks, earthworks and precision 3D modelling. This role will be working exclusively on night shifts and requires strong technical competency with survey equipment, data processing and AutoCAD modelling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set out and control works for runway reprofiling, groundworks and earthworks
  • Carry out accurate topographical and as-built surveys
  • Process and manage 3D survey data, produce digital terrain models and volumes
  • Prepare and update AutoCAD drawings and models
  • Work closely with site teams to ensure works meet design levels and tolerances
  • Maintain clear survey records and reports
  • Ensure all works are carried out safely on a live airport site
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Land Surveyor or Site Engineer within civil engineering
  • Strong background in groundworks/earthworks projects
  • Proficient in 3D modelling of survey data (LSS, Trimble Business Centre, or similar)
  • Competent with AutoCAD for producing and editing models
  • Experience working in controlled or airfield environments preferred
  • Able to work 10-hour night shifts
  • Strong communication, accuracy and organisational skills
