Your role

You will support safety engineering and assurance across the acquisition, integration, introduction into service, operation, maintenance and modification of defence land systems. Create and maintain design and operational hazard logs, supporting hazard identification, risk assessment and risk-reduction activity. Develop structured safety arguments covering safe-to-operate, maintained-correctly and operated-safely claims, supported by evidence from the Delivery Agent, Lead User and other responsible organisations. Assess the safety implications of platform integration, equipment upgrades, software-intensive capability and in-service change. Derive and manage safety requirements and supporting evidence through acquisition, trials, land system certification, acceptance and introduction into service. Produce clear technical reports and safety information that support equipment decisions and remain useful to operators and maintainers. Work with Delivery Teams, Delivery Agents, Lead Users, platform integrators, operators, maintainers, suppliers and assurance stakeholders.
