• Able to work with fibreglass, carbon fibre, and core materials.

• Laminating and wet lay‑up using polyester, vinylester, and epoxy resins.
• Preparing moulds and materials ready for production.
• Ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards.

Salary: £14.32 - £16.62p/h plus overtime at enhanced rates

The Role

As a Laminator, you'll work within a skilled team to produce high‑quality GRP components for luxury sailing yachts. You'll be responsible for the lay‑up and finishing of hulls, decks, and smaller composite parts, ensuring each component meets the highest standards of strength and finish. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone with a keen eye for detail, a passion for craftsmanship, and pride in producing top‑quality work.

Key Responsibilities

• Laminating and wet lay‑up using polyester, vinylester, and epoxy resins
• Working with fibreglass, carbon fibre, and core materials
• Preparing moulds and materials ready for production
• Trimming, fitting, and finishing composite components
• Working to drawings and build specifications
• Ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards
• Assisting other build teams where required to support production

About You

• Previous experience in laminating or composites, ideally within marine, automotive, or aerospace sectors
• Skilled in wet lay‑up, vacuum bagging, or infusion techniques
• Able to interpret and work from technical drawings
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality
• Confident working independently or as part of a production team
• Flexible, proactive, and keen to contribute to a positive workshop environment
