Job summary

ALTEN Ltd is seeking a talented Software Engineer with LabVIEW experience to support the development of advanced electric propulsion technology for next-generation fully electric aircraft. Based in Bicester, this on-site role is hybrid (3 days on site) and suitable for junior to mid-level engineers (2–3 years).

• Proven hands-on experience with LabVIEW is essential.
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle and best practices.
• Experience in both front-end and back-end development.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software solutions using LabVIEW and other tools.
• Contribute to front-end UI/UX and back-end data processing development.
• Support software architecture design and development.
• Collaborate with hardware, systems, and test engineers.
• Develop test rigs, data acquisition systems, and automation tools.
• Ensure code quality through testing, validation and documentation.
• Support integration and testing activities in a structured engineering environment.
