Job summary

Grundon is seeking a proactive Fabrications team member based in Ewelme. You’ll support fabrication staff with admin tasks, assist with dismantling containers for disposal, apply branding, and keep the workshop tidy and stocked.

You’ll also handle order deliveries, vehicle loading, and safety checks, contributing to efficient workshop operation. The role requires practical tool skills, basic MS Office knowledge, strong safety awareness, and a full UK driving licence with willingness to travel to

Qualifications

  • Strong practical skills with hand and power tools.
  • Competent in administrative tasks and record-keeping.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel/Word).
  • Committed to high-quality work and customer service.
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team and prioritise tasks.
  • Good understanding of workplace health and safety.
  • Experience in warehouse or stores operations advantageous.
  • Telehandler/forklift experience preferred; training available.
  • Full UK driving licence essential with ability to travel to other sites.

  • Apply vinyl artwork per company guidelines to promote image.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and well-stocked workshop.
  • Pick, prepare, and deliver orders; load/unload vehicles.
  • Carry out safety inspections and maintain equipment records.
  • Suggest ideas to improve workshop efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Conduct daily/weekly/monthly health and safety checks.

Reporting into the Fabrication Workshop & Container Manager you will play a key role in driving our mission forward by supporting the fabrications workshop to run smoothly and efficiently.

Please note due to the location of this role you will require access to your own transport.]

What will you do
  • The job holder will support all fabrication staff to include basic administration, dismantling of containers ready for disposal.
  • Ensure that all containers being delivered or repaired meet our branding expectation.
  • Apply vinyl artwork in line with company guidelines to promote a high-quality company image.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and well-stocked workshop, including paints, tools, PPE, and materials.
  • Pick, prepare, and deliver orders, collect supplies, and handle vehicle loading and unloading.
  • Carry out safety inspections, ensure machinery and equipment maintenance is up to date and all records are filed, report any defects promptly and help maintain equipment to ensure everything remains safe and fit for purpose.
  • Play an active role in improving workshop efficiency, suggesting new ideas to reduce repair times and costs.

  • Any other duties, such as ad hoc projects, as requested by the job holder’s Manager/Supervisor or the Board of Directors that are within the skills and capabilities of the job holder.
