Job summary

Gleeson Homes is seeking a proactive labourer to join our on-site team in the United Kingdom. You will support the Site Manager with general duties, maintenance, site tidiness, material handling and ensuring health and safety standards are met.

Candidates should have CSCS card, previous labouring experience and a willingness to undertake training as required. This role offers a generous holiday entitlement, pension and rewards through a discretionary bonus scheme.

Qualifications

• Previous labouring experience.
• Up to date relevant industry related knowledge.
• Willingness to attend any additional training requirements that are either required by statute or arranged by the company.
• Self-motivated, flexible & adaptable, reliable.
• Current CSCS card.

Responsibilities

• Service the needs of the development and respond to the instructions and requests of the Site Manager.
• Assist in unloading deliveries, cleaning up the site canteen and staff welfare facilities, and clearing properties prior to occupation.
• Keep the site tidy, keep materials correctly stored and secure in designated areas including site compounds.
• Carry out all designated duties in a safe and responsible manner.
• Advise the Site Manager when sub-contractors are leaving properties in an unacceptable condition and report any damage to materials when being off‑loaded.
• Be aware of all safety requirements and report if sub-contractors fail to wear the correct PPE or act irresponsibly regarding basic health & safety requirements.
• Undertake straightforward maintenance items in occupied properties in a clean, tidy, courteous and responsible manner when required.
• Deal with site security, both for individual units and the overall site.
• Comply at all times with health and safety policies and procedures.
