Labourer - Tube Grinding & Weld Dressing

📍 Location: Billingham

💰 Pay: Base £13.54 | 6-2 Shift £15.71 | Nights £17.60 + Overtime

Stafforce are seeking a hardworking and detail-oriented Labourer to join our client’s busy production team in Billingham. This role is a fantastic opportunity with the potential to go permanent after an initial period working through Stafforce.

Key Responsibilities
  • Tube Grinding & Straightening: Remove imperfections and straighten tubes to tolerance, ensuring smooth surfaces and correct alignment.
  • Weld Dressing: Smooth and finish welds to meet safety and quality standards.
  • Overhead Crane Operation: Safely lift, position, and transport materials.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Carry out basic cleaning and upkeep of tools and machinery.
  • Quality Control: Inspect work to ensure it meets company standards.
  • Health & Safety: Follow all safety protocols, wear PPE, and maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a similar labouring role/Fabrication background
  • Basic knowledge of grinding, straightening, and welding processes.
  • Ability to operate an overhead crane (certification desirable).
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
  • Good understanding of workplace safety practices.
