Laboratory Technician

Summary Primarily responsible for ensuring product and quality through all stages of production by working closely with the receiving, manufacturing and shipping departments to detect and eliminate potential problems that would adversely affect product quality.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible to ensure customer requirements for product and quality are
  • Assists manufacturing in performing testing per the product control
  • Assists in the maintenance and verification/calibration of all equipment in the department.
  • Reviews Raw Material and Final Test Results and determines if additional testing is required.
  • Reports Test Results for in-process testing in the PRIMOS computer database immediately upon completion.
  • Reviews applicable procedures, work instructions and test methods to company with ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.
  • Checks for potential sources of contamination around the machines and performs general good housekeeping practices throughout the work
  • Provides technical support to production at all
  • Leads and/or participates in problem solving sessions pertaining to internal operations, safety and external customer complaints as
  • Monitors manufacturing to ensure product quality.
  • Maintains general housekeeping of Laboratory and verifies operation of the laboratory equipment.
  • When trained, performs as a back-up to Quality Manager, Shift Supervisor, or Shipping
  • Performs other duties and assignments as directed by supervisor.
Recommended Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office Platform (word-processing, spreadsheets, graphics and statistical programs)
