Job summary

A leading contract research organization in Dundee is seeking an Assistant Technician 1 for a 12-month fixed-term contract. The ideal candidate will conduct laboratory support for studies and assist with horticultural tasks. Requirements include National 5 qualifications or equivalent experience and a strong attention to detail. The position offers a salary of £23,842.35 per annum with a closing date for applications on 31 December 2025.

Qualifications

• National 5 qualifications (Assistant Technician) or HNC (or higher) or relevant on-job experience (Technician).
• Ability to pay close attention to detail is essential.
• Good level of computer literacy for Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Provide laboratory support to Study Directors in the day to day running of studies.
• Conduct horticultural tasks such as growing and monitoring plants.
• Provide assistance with study set-up, sample collection and data generation.
• Conduct laboratory work in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
• Ensure a safe working environment by observing all safety procedures.
