A leading food supplier in Barrhead is seeking a 3rd shift Laboratory Technician I responsible for analyzing samples and maintaining laboratory compliance. The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma, laboratory experience, and problem-solving skills. This position offers a starting salary of $31.28 with medical, dental, and vision benefits.

The major responsibility of the 3rd shift Laboratory Technician I is performing routine analysis of inbound samples and finished products. This involves completing all documentation and data entry associated with the receipt, handling and analysis of all samples and results. It also involves maintaining compliance with SOP’s and GLP’s for sample handling (receiving, storage, & testing). The technician position plays a pivotal role in ensuring there is communication of results/ findings to team members in other departments.

Education
H.S. diploma or equivalent required.
Related Experience
Two-Three years’ previous laboratory experience.
Equipment/Software Skills
Basic data entry skills required.
Physical: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, sit, and stand. The employee will also be required to use hands, arms, and fingers. The physical requirements are the employee must have the ability to lift 50 pounds, climb stairs, lift, bend, kneel, stand for long periods of time, work in small spaces, and work with heights.
Sensory: Ability to perform sensory testing on in-process and finished product samples, must be able to distinguish issues from taste, smell or sight of the product.
Mental/Reasoning: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
