This position is responsible performing quality control testing on pharmaceutical products.

This is a full-time role with a great benefits package.

Work Schedule: Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Work Restrictions: Because of vital nature of this work, we do not allow medical marijuana cards and we do random drug testing on all of our employees.

This position is responsible for determining particulate matter content in pharmaceutical samples utilizing instrumentation and/or microscopic techniques. Additionally, maintaining the cleanliness of the laboratory and the organization of supplies are required. The employee will have basic knowledge of commonly used laboratory concepts, practices, procedures and instrumentation and will perform limited tests under supervision.

Essential Functions
  • Perform laboratory testing and record results in compliance with cGMP’s, USP (United States Pharmacopeia) requirements (if applicable) and internal QMS
  • Adhere to Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Maintain work list such that samples are tested within completion requirements.
  • Perform peer review of laboratory notebooks
  • Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations in performing all assigned duties.
  • Follow written and oral instruction
  • Work and think independently, yet share ideas and work towards team goals
  • Use a personal computer including word processing, spreadsheets, email and database applications
  • Express thoughts in a clear concise manner both orally and written
  • Adherence to all ARL safety standards, protocols, policies and procedures
Position Requirements
  • High School diploma with 2+ years working experience OR
  • Associate degree in chemistry or related science field OR
  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related science field
  • Experience with microscopes preferred

Work Environment

This job operates in a laboratory environment.

Physical Demands

This position may require sitting for prolonged periods of time; dexterity in fingers and hands to perform complex and precise manipulations; frequent exposure to noise levels up to 80 decibels; see in the normal visual range including the ability to distinguish colors and shades; ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs; and hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
