Job summary

The Testing Lab PLC in Doncaster is seeking a motivated Laboratory Technician Apprentice to join our laboratory team and work towards a Level 3 Laboratory Technician Apprenticeship.

You will support day‑to‑day laboratory operations, assist with testing, prepare samples, and maintain a clean, safe work environment while receiving training and ongoing support.

Qualifications

• Interest in science and laboratory work.
• Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
• Basic IT skills.
• GCSEs (Maths & Science) desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with laboratory tests and experiments under supervision.

About The Role

Doncaster, DN5 - We are looking for a motivated and practical Laboratory Technician Apprentice to join our laboratory team. This is a great opportunity to earn while you learn, developing hands‑on laboratory skills while working towards a Level 3 Laboratory Technician Apprenticeship.

As a Laboratory Technician Apprentice

You will support the day‑to‑day work of the laboratory, assisting with testing, preparing samples and maintaining a clean and safe working environment. You will be trained and supported throughout the apprenticeship.

Key Duties Include

• Assisting with laboratory tests and experiments under supervision


• Preparing samples, materials and equipment for testing


• Accurately recording results and maintaining laboratory records


• Cleaning, maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment


• Following health & safety procedures and quality standards


• Working as part of a team to meet deadlines and maintain accuracy
