Role Description

This is a full OR part time, on-site role for a Laboratory Technician based near Oakham in Rutland. The Laboratory Technician will be responsible for operating and maintaining laboratory equipment for measurement of Biomethane potential (BMP) in our satellite BMP lab, performing quality control tests, conducting various related laboratory analyses, and adhering to safety and procedural standards. Daily tasks will include sample preparation, data recording, and collaborating with team members to ensure accurate and efficient lab operations.

The role includes handling digestate from Anaerobic Digestion (AD) customers and testing proposed new feedstocks in a lab environment to assess suitability and economic value of the feed in the real world AD marketplace. The role also includes collecting digestate from nearby AD plants for use in the tests. We operate a growing number of instruments and are the UKs 2nd largest provider in this area.

The role can also include occasionally representing the business at various exhibitions around the UK.
