Laboratory Technician - Winnington, Northwich

Contract / Temporary | Full-Time (37.5 hours, Monday to Friday)

Pay Rate based on: £23,939 - £27,709 per annum (paid weekly via Morson)

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Laboratory Technician to join our client's team at their Winnington site in Northwich, where they produce sodium bicarbonate.

This is a 3-month temporary contract, with the potential for extension.

You\'ll be part of a dedicated laboratory team, supporting production through accurate testing, analysis, and reporting.

Responsibilities
  • Collect samples from various process points within the chemical plant.
  • Conduct routine and non-routine analyses and interpret results.
  • Investigate and report on non-conforming samples.
  • Manage laboratory calibration schedules and maintain stock levels of consumables and reagents.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the Process Operations team.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
  • Previous experience in chemical plant analysis or laboratory work.
  • A Level in Chemistry and/or NVQ Level III in Laboratory and Associated Technical Activities (or working towards).
  • Strong IT skills for data input, interpretation, and report writing.
  • Demonstrated technical problem-solving ability.
  • Experience in a GMP environment is advantageous.
  • A proactive and flexible team player.
Additional Requirements
  • A full UK driving licence with no bans or convictions is essential for this role.
