The successful candidate will be expected to produce technical data according to standard operating procedures (SOP’s), maintain all equipment and instrumentation, and preparing samples for testing, reporting outcomes effectively and communicate/interact with all business functions.

Responsibilities

• Performing laboratory tests to produce reliable and precise data to support Quality Assurance and New Product Development
• Carrying out routine tasks accurately and precisely
• Preparing specimens and samples; assembling, maintaining and operating standard laboratory equipment
• Ensuring the laboratory is well-stocked and resourced
• Recording and interpreting results to present to senior colleagues, when required
• Using computers and performing simple mathematical calculations
• Keeping up to date with technical developments
• Maintaining high housekeeping standards
• Working safely 100% of the time
• Ensuring that all assigned work is delivered in a timely manner
• Communicating with both internal and external customers
• Any other roles & responsibilities as required by IKO
