Job summary

A leading provider of analytical and environmental services is seeking a Laboratory Technician for their environmental testing lab in Bretby. This full-time, temporary position offers competitive pay and a supportive environment for graduates and motivated individuals. Ideal candidates will have a background in Chemistry, but those without a degree and a strong scientific interest are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

  • Must be based close to Bretby and available to begin on 24/11/25.
  • A degree in a Chemistry-related discipline is highly beneficial but not essential.
  • Previous experience within a lab environment is highly beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Receipt and Analysis of Samples using a range of Analytical Techniques.
  • Ensure all work complies with UKAS ISO17025 and GLP regulations.
  • Full-time role: Mon-Fri 8:30-17:00 with early finish on Fridays.

Are you looking to gain some experience in an Analytical Laboratory? Are you a graduate of Chemistry / Experienced Lab Tech? Or alternatively are you a particularly motivated individual with a strong interest in science?

A leading and successful provider of analytical testing and Environmental services are currently seeking a Laboratory Technician to join the Oils team in their environmental testing Lab in Derbyshire, on a temp basis with the possibility of going perm. Ideal for Graduates of Chemistry, or related disciplines, but also open to particularly motivated candidates without a relevant degree, looking to begin a career in the Lab.

Role Overview
  • Receipt and Analysis of Samples using a range of Analytical Techniques.
  • Ensure all work is conducted in line with relevant regulations and standards such as UKAS ISO17025, GLP.
  • Temporary , Full-time role (Mon- Fri 8 : 30-17 : 00 with early finish on Fridays) £12.21ph 39 hours per week.
