Summary

This is a 6‑month fixed‑term contract. We are looking for an experienced professional or rising talent to join our Scientific Services team, working with a variety of smaller commercial accounts, and helping to promote South East Water (SEW) as a market leader in laboratory analysis. You will manage existing customers and Service Level Agreements, providing first‑line support and advice to commercial clients, and collaborate with marketing and lab teams on sales campaigns and strategic development.

Main Responsibilities
  • Account Management: Maintain and develop relationships with existing commercial customers.
  • Customer Service: Provide first‑line support and advice, ensuring all customer services are maintained.
  • Improvement and Development: Proactively identify problems and suggest solutions to departmental processes, and contribute to new customer‑focused services.
  • Laboratory Communication: Coordinate with the Laboratory team to prioritise workload and customer requirements.
  • Marketing and Strategy: Assist with advertising campaigns, develop marketing material, and use market knowledge to assess opportunities and help shape market strategy.
  • Compliance: Ensure timely completion of internal/external failure reports, non‑conformities, and notifications to customers, achieving deadlines and SLAs.
Skills / Qualifications / Experience
  • At least two years' experience in Analytical Laboratory work or account management/customer service roles.
  • Up to A‑Level qualification or equivalent.
  • Strong scientific background.
  • Good numeracy, literacy, and computer skills, including proficiency in IT support systems (LIMS, CSM, Portal, and Web).
  • Proven time‑management and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet key deadlines.
  • Full, clean driving licence.
