Job summary

Normec i2 Analytical in Northampton is seeking a proactive Laboratory Manager to oversee resources, staff and client deliverables. You will lead operations, ensure safety and quality standards, and drive continuous improvement within a dynamic testing environment.

The role requires strong leadership, planning, and communication with management, clients and staff to sustain high performance and timely results.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to manage laboratory resources and staff.
• Strong focus on H&S, QA, and client deliverables.
• Excellent communication with clients and internal teams.
• Experience mentoring technicians and driving performance.
• Ability to develop and review operational policies.

Responsibilities

• Manage laboratory resources and equipment to meet client deadlines.
• Improve operational efficiencies and delivery times.
• Liaise with clients on technical and commercial issues.
• Maintain Health, Safety, Quality and commercial standards.
• Develop and mentor laboratory staff to enhance competency.
• Provide leadership and drive company-wide performance culture.
• Develop, implement and review lab policies and procedures.
