We’re looking for a hands‑on and detail‑focused Laboratory Assistant to join our Quality Assurance team at our Grantham processing facility. If you’ve got an eye for detail, a passion for food safety, and enjoy working in a fast‑paced environment, this could be the perfect role for you.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine swabbing across PPE, belts, and carcasses to ensure the highest hygiene standards are maintained.
• Collect, prepare, and manage samples for both in‑house and external laboratory testing.
• Record and analyze data with accuracy and attention to detail, reporting any irregularities.
• Support the QA team by following all laboratory and food safety procedures in line with company and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well‑organised lab environment that supports quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a food or meat laboratory or QA environment (preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and accurate record‑keeping.
• Organised, thorough, and takes pride in doing things right the first time.
• Understanding of microbiological testing and hygiene standards (highly regarded).
