Laboratory Assistant - Temporary Contract (3 Months Minimum)

Location: South Mimms - must be commutable 5 days per week

Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week

Contract: Ongoing temporary role, minimum 3 months

Start Date: Must be available to start immediately

Are you experienced in laboratory operations and looking for a hands-on role in a scientific environment? We're seeking a proactive Laboratory Services Coordinator to support essential lab services including sterilisation, equipment maintenance, and hygiene management.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain autoclaves, glasswashers, and sterilising ovens

Ensure safe decontamination of hazardous materials

Manage laundry and hygiene services for lab and cleanroom wear

Coordinate with contractors and lab staff to resolve equipment and supply issues

Maintain records for traceability and complianceIdeal Candidate:

Minimum 3 Years' Experience In a Similar Lab-based Role

Strong knowledge of sterilisation and decontamination techniques

Skilled in operating and maintaining industrial lab equipment
