Laboratory Administrator - 12month FTC

As our company grows and develops, we are ever expanding our teams. We have a great opportunity for a committed Laboratory Administrator to join our Infrastructure Division and wear the SOCOTEC badge with pride.

We are looking for a dependable, dedicated and flexible Laboratory Administrator to join our UKAS accredited Materials team. As a member of Materials, it is key that you are able to thrive in a team environment, as well as independently. The fundamental part of the role is to provide administrational support to the materials testing laboratory. The Laboratory Technicians work to determine the physical properties of a wide range of materials including concrete, earthworks, aggregates and bituminous mixtures to ensure compliance with specifications. All testing and reporting is undertaken in line with a range of British, European and American standards so a good attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures is required.

The tasks you will undertake will include (but are not limited to):
  • Booking samples in and liaising with clients
  • Allocating jobs to the Concrete Field Technicians and managing the diary
  • Data entry and reporting of test results

Our Materials Testing team perform an extensive range of testing and compliance services across a wide range of construction projects including highways, rail, airfields, ports and harbours, power stations, sports stadia in addition to new build projects across Industrial, Commercial and Residential properties.
