OhioHealth is seeking a part-time Surgical Technologist to support the Labor and Delivery unit. The role involves preparing the OR, delivering instruments, and acting as a 2nd assistant during procedures.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and BLS; ST certification is preferred. The position requires strict adherence to sterile technique, teamwork, and the ability to perform duties across multiple service lines.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; BLS certification required.
• Completion of OR Surgical Technologist training is preferred.
• Demonstrates basic critical thinking and independent functioning.
• Able to anticipate surgeon needs and communicate with staff.
• Must show ability to scrub and assist across service lines.

Responsabilités

• Prepare for procedures by obtaining supplies, ensuring sterile field, and presenting instruments.
• Serve as 2nd assistant, assist with draping, exposure, and specimen handling.
• Assist with positioning, cast/splint tasks, and medication preparation under RN verification.
• Maintain OR cleanliness, restock supplies, and ensure equipment safety and sterility.
