  • Work with components including electrodes, membranes, gaskets, seals, plates and fixtures
  • Set up and run defined laboratory and engineering tests
  • Monitor experiments and accurately record results and observations
  • Support engineers with prototype builds and experimental test equipment
  • Carry out basic measurements, inspections and quality checks
  • Help maintain accurate component labelling, documentation and traceability
  • Support basic sensors, instrumentation and data acquisition equipment
  • Maintain clean, safe and organised laboratory and technical work areas
  • Work across different projects as the technology and team continue to develop

Experience & Skills - Lab Test Technician

  • Degree, HNC/HND, apprenticeship or similar technical background in Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Physics or another relevant subject
  • Strong interest in clean energy, batteries or technology development
  • Practical experience gained through university projects, laboratories, Formula Student, internships, placements, personal projects or similar activities
  • Good attention to detail and ability to follow technical procedures
  • Willingness to work across both laboratory/materials activities and mechanical assembly
  • Curious, proactive and keen to develop new technical skills
