Alfred H Knight invites applications for an Internal Audit Technician role based in Liverpool. The position supports independent assurance and consulting across laboratory operations, including sample preparation, analytical testing, data reporting, and client services.

The role works with ISO/IEC 17025‑accredited laboratory practices, auditing technical processes and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance controls and ethical risk awareness.

Qualifications

• Essential analytical skills to assess processes and data, with the ability to identify risks, errors, or non-conformances.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear and concise reports and present findings.
• Experience using Microsoft Office and Google suite of applications.
• Strong planning and time management skills, with the ability to manage a personal workload and prioritise tasks effectively.
• Ability to work collaboratively and flexibly as part of a team, and to interact professionally with personnel at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Audit technical and operational processes to evaluate effectiveness and risk controls.
• Support internal auditors by gathering data, preparing reports, and communicating findings to stakeholders.
• Assist in maintaining independence and objectivity while promoting a risk-aware culture.
