Job summary

UKRI International is seeking a Domestic Services worker at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology (LMB) on a fixed-term basis for 1 year to cover maternity leave. The role offers a pro-rata salary of £23,794 per annum and both part-time and full-time options.

You will maintain a clean, safe, welcoming environment, handling waste, cleaning floors, surfaces, toilets and kitchens, and providing cover during staff sickness or holidays.

Qualifications

• Essential: general education level.
• Willingness to undertake on the job training.
• Desirable: previous cleaning experience.
• Desirable: knowledge of cleaning techniques.

Responsibilities

• Emptying bins and replacing liners.
• Waste segregation and maximising recycling.
• Vacuuming and sweeping floors.
• Mopping floors and operating cleaning machinery.
• Polishing surfaces.
• Cleaning sanitary areas, including kitchenettes and toilets.
• Topping up hand towel and soap dispensers.
• Dusting.
• Glass cleaning.
• Providing cover during staff sickness and holidays.
