Synexa Life Sciences (Pty) Ltd. is seeking a Lab Analyst (LC-MS/MS) to support bioanalytical studies by performing routine sample analysis and sample preparation in a regulated CRO setting.

You will operate and maintain LC-MS/MS instrumentation, prepare study documentation, and ensure compliance with GxP and SOP requirements to deliver high-quality analytical data.

Formación

• Hands-on LC/MS experience.
• MSc in a scientific field or 2–3 years of equivalent industry experience.
• Strong analytical lab skills including pipetting and protocol adherence.
• Familiarity with advanced analytical instruments (LC/MS, microplate readers, flow cytometers, electrochemiluminescence analysers).
• Excellent written and spoken English with good teamwork.

Responsabilidades

• Perform bioanalytical methods in line with GLP, GCP, GMP and SOPs.
• Operate and maintain LC-MS/MS equipment and the laboratory environment per SOPs.
• Prepare project-related documentation, including lab manuals and reports.
• Write and review SOPs and support method documentation.
• Train new personnel within area of responsibility as needed.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Lab Analyst (LC-MS/MS) to support bioanalytical studies by performing routine sample analysis, sample preparation, and laboratory activities in a regulated CRO environment. The role involves operating and maintaining LC-MS/MS equipment, preparing study documentation, ensuring compliance with GxP and SOP requirements, and contributing to the delivery of high-quality, reliable analytical data.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform bioanalytical methods in line with GLP, GCP, GMP, and SOPs.
• Perform routine analyses and document all work according to GxP and SOP standards.
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments & environment as per SOPs.
• Prepare project-related documentation, including lab manuals and reports.
• Write and review SOPs and support method documentation.
• Manage consumables, monitor stock levels, and maintain LIMS records.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety guidelines and regulatory standards.
• Act as Study specific analyst on assigned projects.
• Train new personnel within area of responsibility when needed.
• Record tasks and time accurately in time logging application.
• Observe appropriate regulatory guidelines, SOPs, policies and study documentation.
• Working in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) by authoring, reviewing, and maintaining SOPs, guidance documents, and policies, as well as providing training and support to staff.

Qualifications & Experience

Required

• Hands-on experience with LC/MS
• Master’s degree (MSc) in a scientific field, or 2–3 years of equivalent industry experience.
• Skilled in analytical techniques and routine lab practices, including pipette handling, protocol adherence, and use of basic lab equipment (centrifuges, biosafety cabinets, plate washers, incubators etc.).
• Familiarity with advanced analytical instruments (e.g., LC/MS, microplate readers, flow cytometers, electrochemiluminescence analysers).
• Proficient in written and spoken English, with strong teamwork and negotiation skills.

Preferred

• Practical experience in GxP/GCLP-accredited environments.
