Job summary

Shireland CBSO Academy in West Bromwich seeks inspirational teachers to deliver the Literacy for Life program across Year 7–9. You will teach across subjects, form strong partnerships with students and families, and model excellence as the academy opens.

We offer extensive CPD, dedicated support for ECTs, an ICT-rich environment and the chance to contribute to launching a new academy with a focus on high standards and pastoral care.

• Deliver the Literacy for Life thematic curriculum across Year 7–9.

Job description

Literacy for LifeLiteracy for Life is a thematic curriculum taught for 17 hours each week in Year 7, 13 hours in Year 8 and 5 hours in Year 9. Each teacher is focused on the students in their Literacy for Life class, not just from an academic perspective but also getting to know the students and their families and forming a partnership which will really help students to make progress.

Our Year 7 programme will be accommodated in a bespoke technologically rich, new build environment.

We are seeking inspirational teachers from either secondary or Upper Key Stage 2.
