Overview

As the Learning & Development Manager, you will collaborate with the OSC leadership team and wider business to ensure training and development standards meet contractual and operational requirements. You will design, deliver, and evaluate training programs for new and existing employees, driving efficiency and customer satisfaction through continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain OSC processes aligned with contract requirements.
  • Design, review, and deliver engaging training programs using classroom, remote, and e-learning methods.
  • Conduct quality and competency assessments, identifying training gaps and implementing remedial plans.
  • Research and introduce innovative learning technologies and methodologies.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business, including central L&D and operational teams.
  • Promote health and safety in line with company policies.
  • Provide guidance and support to trainees and colleagues.
  • Travel across UK locations and adapt to flexible working hours, including evenings and weekends.
Professional and Personal Competencies / Qualifications
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written English).
  • Competent IT skills and familiarity with tools such as Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, and business process management software.
  • Proven experience in delivering high-quality training and customer service standards.
  • Solid understanding of data analysis techniques.
  • Ability to manage workloads, prioritise effectively, and problem-solve methodically.
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to coach and influence others.
