A leading healthcare provider in Scotland is seeking a part-time Audio Typist for the Nephrology Department at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. This critical role involves fast and accurate transcription of clinical dictation, alongside other specialties as needed. The ideal candidate will possess relevant secretarial experience, excellent interpersonal skills, and a strong ability to touch type. Band 3 Hours – 30 hours per week (part-time)
We have a vacancy for a part-time Audio Typist within the Nephrology Department at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. The Audio Typist role requires accurate and fast audio transcription of clinical dictation. This is an extremely busy post, with a high volume of clinical correspondence. There will also be the opportunity to do audio typing within some of our other specialties within Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
The ideal candidate should have previous secretarial, Audio Typist, or PA experience with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills. The ability to touch type is with experience of audio typing is essential.
The Medical Secretarial Service provides secretarial and administration support to medical, surgical, and clinical teams across the acute sector of NHS Grampian. The team consists of Medical Secretaries, Audio Typists, Administrators, Filing Clerks, Receptionists, Trainers, PAs, and the Management Team.
There are opportunities for expansion and progression within the Medical Secretarial Service, including expanding your knowledge in to various other medical, surgical, and clinical services, or over time developing in to supervisory, training, or management roles.
