Job summary

A dedicated tutoring service in Hackney is seeking an experienced KS3 English and Maths Tutor to provide in-person support for Primary and Secondary students with SEND or SEMH needs. You'll deliver tailored lessons and flexible hours during school times, ensuring students build skills and confidence. Ideal candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of tutoring experience. Competitive pay between £30 - £35 per hour is offered.

Make a Real Impact as a KS3 English and Maths Tutor.

Are you a passionate educator, making a difference in the lives of students with SEND or SEHM needs? We are looking for experienced and dedicated tutors to join our tutor database. You’ll provide personalised 1:1 support for Primary or Secondary students. These in-person sessions in Hackney offer the chance to work closely with students, helping them build skills and confidence in a supportive and tailored learning environment.

  • Day(s): Monday - Friday // Flexible
  • Time(s): During school hours
  • Level: Primary and Secondary
  • Start date: Throughout the academic year
What You'll Do:
  • Deliver up to 15 hours of tutoring per week, with sessions split across the school day
  • Plan engaging lessons tailored to the unique needs of each student
  • Provide targeted support for students with SEND and/or SEMH needs
  • Assess barriers to learning and create a positive and supportive learning environment
  • Monitor progress, produce reports and adapt teaching strategies to achieve measurable outcomes
We're looking for someone who has:
  • A Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years of tutoring / teaching experience
  • Experience working with students with SEN and/or SEMH needs
  • An ability to adapt lessons to suit different learning styles and needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The right to be self employed in the UK
