Job description
KS3/4 Biology Specialist - January 2026 start

Prospero Teaching is looking for a Biology teacher for an Ofsted Good Secondary school in Bury. You will be responsible for teaching Biology to KS4 groups (including Year 11), and General Science to both KS3 and KS4. This timetable would be suitable for an ECT looking for support with their Induction terms, or a more experienced colleague looking for a long‑term supply booking.

Our school is easily accessible by road (M60, M61, M62, M66) and has strong public transport links. Behaviour is generally positive; isolated issues are dealt with by a proactive “on‑call” pastoral team. Several long‑term colleagues feel supported and welcomed.

The position is open to NQTs/ECTs and more experienced colleagues. You will be paid to scale from day one of this assignment and we are available to discuss the role with teaching professionals as soon as possible.
