Milk Education is recruiting a Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant for a primary school in Liverpool (L12) starting November 2026. You will support pupils across Years 3-6, help with literacy and numeracy, and assist the class teacher to keep lessons engaging.

You'll work Monday to Friday at £107.71 per day, with temp-to-perm opportunities and access to CPD courses and APSCo Compliance+ processes through Milk Education.

Qualifications

• Level 2/3 qualification in education, childcare or related subject.
• Experience working with children in a school, nursery or childcare setting.
• Strong communication, literacy and numeracy skills.
• A patient, positive and approachable manner.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a school team.
• Confidence supporting pupils with a range of learning needs.

Responsabilités

• Supporting pupils one-to-one and in small groups with their learning.
• Helping children develop their literacy, numeracy and communication skills.
• Supporting pupils to access the curriculum and stay engaged in lessons.
• Encouraging independence, confidence and positive behaviour.
• Working closely with the class teacher to deliver activities and adapt resources.
• Providing additional support for pupils with SEND or additional learning needs.
• Building positive relationships with pupils and creating an inclusive classroom environment.
• Supporting children during lessons, activities and other parts of the school day.
