Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking enthusiastic KS2 Teaching Assistants to support primary pupils in Exeter and surrounding areas from September. Roles include supporting Years 3-6, 1:1 and small group interventions, plus helping pupils develop literacy and numeracy while preparing for end-of-key-stage assessments.

We offer both full-time and part-time opportunities with flexible supply arrangements, standard school hours, and a focus on a supportive learning environment for every child.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people (school experience desirable).
• Experience supporting KS2 pupils (desirable).
• Teaching Assistant qualification desirable but not essential.

Position: KS2 Teaching Assistant
Location: Exeter and surrounding areas
Start Date: September
Pay: Competitive weekly pay (dependent on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
Contract: Flexible supply, short-term, long-term, full-time and part-time opportunities available
Term Time Only

Responsibilities

• Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging and inspiring KS2 lessons.
• Working with pupils in Years 3-6 on a 1:1 basis or in small intervention groups.
• Helping children develop confidence in literacy, numeracy, and other curriculum areas.
• Supporting pupils to prepare for end-of-key-stage assessments where appropriate.
• Promoting a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment where every child can succeed.

Qualifications

• Have experience working with children or young people (school experience desirable).
• Have experience supporting primary-aged pupils, particularly within KS2 (desirable).
• Are passionate about helping children achieve their potential.
• Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
• Are reliable, adaptable, and committed to supporting pupils' academic and personal development.
